A typical worship service at Living Faith United Methodist Parish may include a greeting and opening prayer, time for people to greet each other, scripture readings, silent prayer and meditation, an offering, the Lord's Prayer, a children's message, the sermon, special music and hymns, and a closing prayer.
We offer three opportunities to worship on Sunday mornings with us. Our 8:00 a.m. worship is at our McGregor Center, 9:15 a.m. is at our Giard center, and 10:15 a.m. worship is at our Monona Center. All three have blended worship and the same message is given at all. We know that your lives are busy and this offer you an opportunity to have multiple chances to worship with us.
If Sunday morning worship does not work for you we invite you to join us on Wednesday evenings for WOW or Worship on Wednesday. We begin the evening at 6:00 p.m. with a free meal for all. When the meal is over the children ages 3 through 5th grade head to Wednesday (Sunday) school. After the tables are cleaned off, approximately 6:50, the adults and older youth head into the sanctuary for Praise and Worship. At this service all the music will be contemporary Christian with our praise band leading the service. Besides great music you will hear prayers, scripture, a devotion and a message.
Communion may also be served, at all of our services. All are invited to celebrate communion, but you can choose whether or not you wish to participate.
We will print words and responses in the bulletins, or project them on the screens at the front, to help those who are unfamiliar with United Methodist worship.
